Cookie Policy (EU)
Last updated: 6 August 2026 · Z.M. The Project Travel and Tour Ltd
This Cookie Policy explains how Project Cyprus Tours (operated by Z.M. The Project Travel and Tour Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on project-cyprustours.com, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors from the European Economic Area and Switzerland, and we follow the same approach for all visitors.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help a site remember things between pages and visits — for example, keeping a booking in progress or remembering a preference. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels work in comparable ways, and we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.
2. How this website uses cookies
This website does not sell visitor data, and neither analytics nor advertising storage is used unless you choose to accept it. We use the following categories of technology:
a. Strictly necessary & functional
These technologies support security, remember your privacy choice and provide a feature you request. They are not used for advertising:
- Privacy preference — local storage key
pct_consent_v1remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising measurement, together with the notice version and time of the choice. - Cloudflare Turnstile — loaded on enquiry forms to prevent automated spam and abuse. Turnstile may use strictly necessary browser storage or cookies for that security purpose.
- First-party conversion counts — form submissions and WhatsApp clicks are counted on our server without an analytics cookie or persistent visitor identifier. We store the page path, general link context and time, not the WhatsApp message or full WhatsApp link.
b. Analytics and advertising measurement—optional
We use a single Google tag that serves two purposes: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4T0V5ETZB7), which tells us which pages and tours visitors find useful, and Google Ads conversion measurement (conversion ID AW-16580195612), which tells us which of our adverts led to an enquiry or booking.
The Google tag is present on every page, but it runs under Google Consent Mode v2. Until you make a choice, and permanently if you decline, it is held in a fully denied state: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are all set to denied, no cookie is written and no advertising identifier is read. In that state Google receives only an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed, which cannot be used to identify you or to build an advertising profile.
We also load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-TX4KL78J), which forwards the booking steps you take in the Bókun booking widget — such as adding a tour to your basket or starting checkout — to Google Analytics. It runs under the same consent state as the Google tag and records nothing until you accept.
If you select “Accept All”, those four permissions are granted and cookies may then be set, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_<container-id> cookie for analytics, and _gcl_au for advert conversion attribution, normally with a maximum lifetime of up to two years. We do not send enquiry names, contact details, message text or submission references to Google.
If you select “Use Necessary Only”, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and any such cookie from an earlier acceptance is deleted. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie Settings” in the footer.
c. Third-party features you choose to use
- Bókun (booking system) — when you use the booking calendar on a tour page, the embedded Bókun widget may set functional cookies needed to process your reservation and payment. See Bókun's own privacy documentation for details.
- Google Maps — our contact page embeds a map showing our office. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which may set cookies under Google's own policies.
- Google Fonts — the website's typefaces are currently delivered by Google's font service, which involves a technical request to Google's servers when a page loads.
3. Your choices
- You can select “Use Necessary Only” and use the tours, prices, schedules, enquiry forms and information pages with no analytics or advertising cookie being set.
- You can reopen the privacy notice at any time with the “Cookie Settings” button in the footer and change your choice. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- If you prefer not to load the embedded map or booking widget, you can contact us directly by phone, email or WhatsApp instead — all bookings can also be arranged that way.
- You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, including setting your browser to warn you before a cookie is placed. Blocking all cookies may prevent the booking calendar from working.
4. Your rights over your personal data
Where cookies involve personal data, you have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Details of how we handle personal data, and how to exercise these rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
5. Changes to this policy
If the cookies or third-party services used on this website change, we will revise this page and update the date above. A material change to optional processing may require us to ask for your choice again.
